Our Invitation
We invite you to co-create and support a future with Essência, a vibrant eco-village community dedicated to nurturing sustainable living, personal growth, and harmony with the Earth.
Nestled in a valley of the wild West Coast of the Algarve in Portugal, just 20 minutes from Aljezur, Essência is a living embodiment of a harmonious relationship with nature and each other.
At Essência, we are guided by the principles of permaculture, holistic living, and collaborative community, offering:
- A Living Sanctuary — diverse eco-living space nurtured by renewable energy and the bounty of our vegan, organic food.
- Pathways to Flourishing — transformative retreats, workshops, and nourishing community gatherings that foster creativity and joy.
- Conscious Community — a thriving social structure that demonstrates the power of intentional community and heart-centered living.
On 20 hectares of heartspace, we are building a home for ourselves and our children to blossom, to restore peace, live in harmony, natural bliss, and loving kindness.
We are creating a sustainable infrastructure that includes permaculture gardens, a forest school, eco-luxury accommodation, a retreat and healing center, a yoga and event space, and a nature spa.
Essência is a nest where people share, sing, dance, and laugh — where we live our optimal physical, mental, and emotional health and experience our full potential.
Our Services
As the Essência family, we are cocreating, holding, and hosting our own Essência signature retreats and one festival per year.
We are weaving our gifts and talents together and birthing safe spaces for human beings to ground, center, and celebrate life.
One of the pillars of Essência is our Kidstemple Essência. It is a place to come as parents and children together to support, unlearn, explore, and play. We are in the progress of creating a forest & mystical school for our kids.
We also offer individual services for healing, growth, and expansion, for example:
- energy & body work
- therapy
- embodiment
- yoga
- music classes
Every Thursday we celebrate our Community Day and open our doors for people from the region and visitors. On that day, we garden and practice together and enjoy our magical forest spa (sauna, hottub & soup).
Another service in the making is Essência TV — a platform from which we share our wisdom, practices, community life, workshops, and insights with the world.
Simona & Antoine
Simona
Simona is a well traveled social educator, institutional clown, and holistic therapist.
She offers:
- polarity therapy sessions
- nutrition coaching
- conscious pregnancy doula support
- Tao Tantric Arts coaching
- workshops and retreats
- Aroma Yoga courses and teacher training
She also has strong experience in women’s work and trauma healing, has been instrumental in several project successes as a non-violent communication group facilitator, and holds sacred chanting circles.

Antoine
Antoine is a passionate hospitality professional with over 15 years of international experience and experience across 8 business design, financing, launch, and promotion processes.
He has managed complex events, F&B, and communication operations.
He now serves as a positive impact entrepreneur, motivated by his mission to create sacred spaces for everyone to discover who they are.
As a Full Potential life+business coach and experience architect consultant, he supports others in giving birth to their best version and their projects.
He is also described as the connector of the acclaimed vegan concept store and restaurant ALIVE in Geneva, and as co-founder/designer of Namaka Float Space.
Languages
- Simona speaks German, French, English, and Spanish.
- Antoine speaks French, English, some Spanish, and German.
- Together they are learning Portuguese.
Shared projects
Since meeting, they say their ideas “made love”. Together they co-founded:

- Essencia Nature Retreat
As humble and devoted gatekeepers, they warmly welcome visitors and thank them for their interest and calling to connect.
